Micro SD Card R4

Catch The Latest Movies On Your R4 DS Micro SD

R4 DS MoonShell for Micro SDWith the Micro SD Slot on the R4 DS Card, you get a whole lot more than just easy file storage.  Once you install moonshell (which can be downloaded on the product page) you’re all set up and ready to watch the latest movies and TV shows on your R4 DS and your Micro SD card.  All you have to do is a quick convert, drag and drop copy the movie, video or TV Show that you have, and want to watch on your R4 DS Card, and you’re all set.

What the micro sd card really does for the r4 ds and your Nintendo DS is open up a whole world of functions and features that should simply have been included anyway.  Unfortunately they were not….  But the great thing about third part accessory makers is that they aim to fill a need…

That need, in this case, is the ability to use those two beautiful screens on your Nintendo DS to actually be able to watch movies.  Doesn’t seem too unrealistic does it?  I mean, the PSP can watch movies, the iPod Touch (*mentioned here because it also plays games) can watch movies too…  And we’re not even talking about those 3rd party China made game systems that can – you guessed it – watch movies too!

Thankfully, by using the R4 DS Card, your Nintendo DS or DSi can now watch movies as well.  You use the included software to convert any of your DVD movies, TV shows, or any other type of video that you want to carry with you, and copy and paste it over to the microSD card that you’ll be using in your NDS console.  I guess one could call the R4 DS a Nintendo DS Movie Player.

R4i DSi

If you’re looking at buying a Nintendo DSi or the newest Nintendo DSi XL (Or LL as it’s called in Japan) and don’t know which NDS Flash card you should be purchasing, then look no further than the R4i DSi flash card.   The R4 DS is one of the most popular flash card for the Nintendo DS and Nintendo DS lite console.  So it only stands to reason that their DSi version would be equally as good as the DS version is.

And that reasoning is sound.  We carry all kinds of flash cards for the Nintendo DSi console, and our favorite here at the office is in fact the R4i DSi.  But that means much less than the fact that 7 out of 10 customers, who purchase flash cards for the Nintendo DSi, purchase the R4i DSi for their Nintendo system.  That, I think, speaks far more about the quality and support of the product than our own in house opinions.  If you’re shopping for an NDS Flash Card, then the R4i for the DSi is the unit you’ll definitely want to look at.

You can find out more about the R4i DSi by visiting our R4i Product page.

Buy R4i-SDHC

If you’re looking to upgrade your Nintendo DS or DS Lite to the newest Nintendo DSi system, then you should take note that you’ll also have to upgrade your NDS Flash Card in order to be able to use it on the Nintendo DSi console. Now, this matters less if you don’t OWN an NDS Flash card and are looking for just purchase one specifically for your NDSi system.  Simply put, if you’re looking for a great NDS Flash card and don’t know which you should buy.  We recommend you Buy R4i-SDHC cards for your Nintendo DSi.

The R4 DS Card has long been a very big seller.  We don’t state this for any other reason than to point out that quite often, the cards that continue to get the support they need (and the support that the customers deserve of course!)

Often times stores will recommend only products (in this case NDS Flash Cards) that they profit the most on.  Which one is the cheapest that they can sell for the highest price!  While that’s all nice and fine, it does always backfire.  We don’t make our recommendations based on what we make the most money on, we base our recommendations on customer feedback, and general AFTER SALE support from any product manufacturer.  While getting something cheap is great, we would hate for our customers to find that the product they have decided on ends up with no support.

With the price of the R4i SDHC Cards at very reasonable levels, upgrading your current flash card is not a big deal any more – and often times you are present with a slew of new features and functions to boot.  If you’re looking at either upgrading to the Nintendo DSi or have a Nintendo DSi, then the R4i SDHC really is one of the safes choices.  Always updated firmware, full support from the manufacturer (for YEARS now… and no sign of it stopping) all of which means that you’ll end up with a card that you know you can count on, both for its ability to play the latest files, and also, for the support that the manufacturer will give for their product.

Buy R4 DS Card

So you have made the decision.  You read up on all of the slot 1 flash card for Nintendo DS.  You found the one that you think might be the right one, and you’re ready to go.  With so many flash cards out there, it can be very difficult to pick the right one.  We know, we’ve been there.

The question really boils down to which card YOU should buy.  And while there are feature comparisons, function comparisons, and a whole slew of other review for different flash cards out there, the true answer to which one you should buy really only lies in ONE thing.

Which Flash card is the most popular, and in turn, because of its popularity, will have the best long term support.  You don’t want to buy a card that is here today, and not supported tomorrow.  And you definitely don’t want to buy the newest slot 1 flash card on the market, because about 4-5 of these “new” flash cards have already been discontinued.  So you want to focus in on a card that has been around, has a proven track record, and can be counted on to be updated and supported for years to come.  This is really the main criteria. The r4 DS card have shown that it is amongst this “Crowd” if you will.  No other card has been supported as much as the R4 DS card, so when you Buy and R4 DS Card, you are actually buying not just the card itself, but the support and updates that should come with any R4 DS card type product (but sadly does not!!!)

If you are ready so spend your money, then spend it on an R4 DS Card that has proven itself to be updaed by the manufacturer, has proven to stand the test of time, and has evenm shown that when new models of the Nintendo DS come out, it can be counted on to support these new models.

Buy R4 DS Card and we promise you will NOT be disappointed.

It has also been updated to now allow the R4i SDHC to work on the newest v1.4 revision of the Nintendo DSi.  Prior to this firmware release everyone was urging their customers NOT to update to the latest 1.4 revision of the NDSi firmware itself.   With this release, you don’t have to worry any more because the R4i SDHC firmware now fully support the newest 1.4 version.
