Is it a CD or DVD game disc?
PS2 CD Discs with the ps2
flip top:
make sure you have 800MB free space minimum on your hard disk drive
insert your PS2 CD game disc in your CD reader/writer & close the tray
load CDRWin and select Extract Disc/Tracks/Sectors as shown HERE
set the Extract Mode to Disc Image/Cuesheet & select your CD reader
click the small square button to the right of Image Filename
create an Image Filename, select a drive to save your image on, & click SAVE
ensure your Reading Options match these & click START to extract the image
watch progress indicator until it's Successfully Completed & then click OK
close the window, & select Record Disc from CDRWin's GUI main menu
select Load Cuesheet, click Open, & ensure the Recording Options match
click Start Recording & monitor progress until it's Successfully Completed
click OK, remove CDR from your CD writer & enjoy your PS2 CDR back-up!
PS2 DVD Discs
With the ps2 flip top:
make sure you have 5GB free space (NTFS-format) minimum on your hard disk drive
if you don't have the Px Engine Update installed on your PC, do it before proceeding
place your PS2 DVD game disc in your DVD reader/writer and close the tray
load RecordNow MAX as shown HERE (note these settings)
select Build Global Image from the Drive menu as shown
THIS window will appear so select your drive, ImageName, & click the Build button
watch progress bar grow to the right until it's completed & close window
remove the PS2 DVD game disc from your DVD reader/writer & insert a blank DVDR
select Global Image from the File menu & select your DVD writer
click THIS button to select & open the GI file you just created (NO number within it)
select Record & click GO (red circle) after verifying the Disc Image file name
monitor progress until DVDR burn is successful & click OK to see THIS prompt
remove DVDR from your DVD recorder drive & enjoy your PS2 DVDR back-up!
